
BLACK FRIDAY POSTCARD
FishUSA Pro Shop
When there is an influx of advertisements around Black Friday, how do you stand out from the crowd? The FishUSA Pro Shop required a postcard to send to local customers that would bring them into the store for this once-a-year sale. The biggest challenge with Black Friday media is getting customers to read what you've sent. Equally as important is convincing them to take action from your advertisement. The Pro Shop manager briefed me on the sales, elements he desired to be included, and expressed that it needed to be "flashy." With the large number of deals and promotions I needed to get on the card, a Las Vegas theme seemed to fit perfectly. I felt this theme held possibilities to showcase multiple ideas in bright ways while keeping a hierarchy. This postcard was 8.5" x 6.5" with a full-color front and grayscale back to fit the budget and a 3-day timeline. I am featuring some pieces from the inspiration board, and the sketches we settled on to show where this project started. This ended up being a record sales day for the history of the store.
